Darkness

Days come and days go…

At the blink of the eye its tomorrow,

Another second, another minute,

It all seems to be so narrow…

A moment passes

Unseen, unheard,

As I strut my way through life,

A moment passes with so powerful a word…

It slits me apart, like a knife.

I stare at the bleeding vein,

Engulfing myself in that one fragment…

I do realize my act is insane,

But I still chain myself to that instant.

A moment passes

Unseen, unheard,

Though now I crawl through life,

A moment passes but the chain gives up…

I can’t go further, I realize.

Hope floats

Hope sails

Thinking I’ll come back to my senses,

Hope floats

Hope drowns

Coz I’m still just asking questions.

A moment passes

Unseen, unheard,

I stagnate… I don’t even fight…

A moment passes and with it my life,

First out of reach, then out of sight.

Days come and days go…

There’s no blink in these eyes of sorrow,

Another second, another minute,

There’s nothing called tomorrow.
